D Black signs two-year deal with Universal Music Group
D Black has signed a two-year distribution deal with Universal Music Group, enewsgh.com can say.
Over the next 24 months, distribution of D Black’s music will be solely handled by the international music group.
It is a deal that would take the artiste’s act a step further, and position him for other lucrative ventures, label sources have assured enewsgh.com.
Over the past years; he’s come across as a smart musician, inking crucial commercial deals.
The UMG deal comes months after he was contracted to shoot a television commercial for local ICT giant rLG.
Universal Music Group (UMG) is the largest American music corporation in the world. It currently operates as a subsidiary of Paris-based media conglomerate Vivendi.
UMG also owns the Universal Music Publishing Group, the second largest music publishing company in the world.
It is headquartered in Santa Monica, California and has offices in other countries including South Africa, which would be directly responsible for D Black’s business, enewsgh.com has gathered.
